Kathleen Moore, Featured Artist

Poster artwork was created by Kathleen Moore of Lynnwood, WA.

Kathleen Moore studied art and education at West Texas State University and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree. While attending WTSU, she worked as a conservation technician, conserving works of art on paper, at the Texas Conservation Center in Canyon, Texas. After moving to Los Angeles, she studied painting with Jan Saether at the Bruchion School and worked in the Audio/Visual and Architecture fields.

Moore and her husband moved to the Seattle area in 1990. While homeschooling their children, Moore developed a high school level art history curriculum, taught K-12 art and produced an annual art gala at the homeschool resource
center. It was during this time she began to work in pastel.

Kathleen Moore's pastel paintings are celebrations of color and form, focusing closely on the details of the natural world.

Moore is a member of the Northwest Pastel Society and ArtistsConnect. She offers art and art history classes for children and private instruction for individuals of all ages at her studio, Axis Mundi Arts.
